🙂 yes, germs suck – but they are certainly a daily presence in a house with 5 child/adults and 2 dogs.

And I did know about Canada – I actually did an interview on another MSers podcast about my cannabis use that will be airing soon – taped back in the summer when they thought it was going to become legal in July:)

I’m sorry to hear about your daughter’s diagnosis but it sounds like she is a warrior if she has chosen to try and plow her own path – kudos to her. That strength goes a LONG way!

Thanks for your inspiring post. My daughter was diagnosed with MS at age 22 three years ago. Since then she has been determined to prove independence, moving out and getting a job and an apartment in a different state. She relies on a lot of rx meds, muscle relaxers, etc. to make it through full time employment. Soon she will age off of our health insurance when she turn 26. She can get insurance through her employer, although I don’t know how good that health insurance is and how high the premiums will be. But your post helped me hope for the best for her.

Megan, That is so great for you! And inspiring for me! I also stay at home a lot becouse of pain being tired all of the time.
I fractured my ankle on July 1 and could not put weight on the for for over a month. I was not really able to get up and even try to get in shape befor my trip to Rio de Janero. But what can I do the flight was free and I could not miss a trip like this. So off I went without preparing for the long walks, and yes i did bring my cain.
The friend that I am traveling with has been so understanding. The first few days we did only 5,000 steps. Now we are well over 10,000 each day. I do have to stop and take rest breaks. We try to avoid stairs but that is not always possible.
I am so glad to be here insted of on the sofa.
