Hello My name is Janet.Nice to meet and read your blog. I was DX with RRMS 2 years ago at the age of 56. I live in Arkansas that recently passed medical mj but it is still not available as of today. Unfortunately when they get all the kinks and loop holes worked out we will not be able to grow our own. only purchase it through a select handful of dispensaries. My pain management physician is also a well known neurologist and he told me hands down there is no amount of opiates, muscle relaxers antineuropathic drugs that will help the pain and spasms, nephropathy, depression and such that come along with the disease. . He straight up told me to smoke marijuana to improve my quality of life to manage my symptoms. I have smoked mj for the past 30 years prior to being DX , I wasn't a stoner by no means. Like a quarter ounce of mj would last me about 1 month. I had a very successful career and would partake in a doobie to unwind after a long hard day at work and on weekends. I personally feel that my previous mj use helped to keep my MS at bay for a very long time. So I have been getting mine as I call off the grid forever. Which you never know what strain you are getting these hicks where I live have no clue about Indcia or Stavia. I have alot of concerns about when we go legal , the cost. the proper strains and etc. I also do CBD oil edibles every day and vape CBD oil in between smoking mj. I am glad to hear how much it has helped you. And look forward to ready more of your blogs. Good information.

Hey Daniel! Thanks for stopping by! I think your story of trying something that you have NO WAY of knowing the strain and % details is probably super similar to many other folks. There are a number of strains that do well with relieving pain. I have found that my body prefers Indica strains - but have heard from others that they swear by Sativa. The one that I am finding works for me is Super Skunk. One of the huge take sways for me while trying different strains is that each one is different and sticking with it and trying different suggestions is what led me to figuring this out:).

Edibles are an option. Haven't tried yet but still intend to. Also the tea thing. You mention a pill. Don't know if that IS or WILL BE a thing but I do know that there is a patch. Personally I think I would first start with figuring out the strain (whether u smoke or eat) and THEN once u find one that works look for a patch?

Good luck and let me know!

Cheers!

Yep, that pretty much parallels my experience with cannabis. It isn't a cure-all, but goodness, it sure takes the edge off. it is good to hear that domestic events are going well too, Megara.
